Sleep to sleep. Sigh on sigh. On a lover's lullaby.
This could be heaven right here on earth. This could be heaven. This could be heaven right here on earth. This could be heaven.
Skye: Is this real or did I die in the water?
Jax: This is very real.
Skye: You asked me once what I wanted.
Jax: I remember. It was the night of Edward's heart attack, Alan asked you to move out. You went to your room because you didn't want me to see you cry. I asked you what you wanted, but you said it was something that you couldn't have.
Skye: I wanted this. Sometimes it was so hard to actually think straight. Maybe once or twice I could, but three or four times, impossible.
Jax: You don't think it bothered me a few times? You must have noticed.
Skye: Well, I just thought you were playing a game.
Jax: Because, that's what I thought you wanted.
Skye: Oh, you mean, because I seem like such a cold, nasty, little --- brat, that you didn't want to leave yourself open to it?
Jax: Right.
Skye: I know who I am, who I can turn into.
Jax: Yes, only too well.
Skye: I'm sorry.
Jax: I'm only sorry that we waited this long.
Skye: Sonny's men had me grabbed and thrown into that boat shed because they were trying to terrify me into telling them where AJ took Courtney. I swear I don't know, but Sonny's men weren't about to believe me, so when I heard them coming back, I managed to find a trap door and get under the boat shed and... God, I was so cold, I don't even remember coming ashore.
Jax: You know, I've been around hypothermia before, and you were in bad shape.
Skye: Hmm. I made it because of you.
Jax: No, no, no. You don't survive that degree of hypothermia without having a strong will.
Skye: Well, you gave it to me. No, do you know there was a point when I was under that boat shed and I was grabbing on to a pylon and, God, it was so cold. I mean, my hands and feet were aching and there was a part of me that just said "Just give up! I mean, who would really care anyway?" But I didn't, I said, "No, I'm going to get through this," because I wanted to have a chance to say to you, "See? See, Sonny really is after me this time, even if it was the only real time."
Jax: You know, even if it was the first and only time, it's one too many, and he won't be doing it again.
Skye: Not now, Jax. Wait, please don't go. There's something that I really need you to know first.
Jax: Well, what is it that you need me to know?
Skye: I swear I have no idea where AJ's taken Courtney. I didn't even know that he was going to take her away. I mean, obviously, Sonny didn't believe me. He had me thrown in that shed to terrify me into telling him and he wrote that threatening note too, and that's my proof, right? I did not write it.
Jax: Skye, I believe you, ok? I believe you.
Skye: No, and I swear I did lock AJ in a closet that night that he showed up at Carly's club with Courtney, I really did, but I said it then and I will say it now. I want nothing to do with what he's doing to Courtney. He's on his own. I mean it. He has her thinking that he's her prince and, well, she's too inexperienced to see right through him to know that a prince just doesn't come along every day, but when they do, you shouldn't let all the toads you've kissed color your judgment.
Jax: I believe you, Skye. I also know what happened last night was real because you were about five minutes away from dead when I found you and Sonny is going to pay for it.
Skye: Not this second. This is too nice to cut short, it feels too good. I want it to last. For the first time in my whole life, I feel safe.
Jax: Lt. Taggert, please. Yes, Lt. Taggert, it's Jasper Jacks. If you want to get Sonny once and for all, I have the way.
