Skye: What if I did ask? How would you've responded if I said I wanted you?
Jax: You know, that's not a simple question. I've learned a lot about you over the last few months, and believe me, it colors everything I look back on.
Skye: You're copping out.
Jax: So are you.
Skye: Oh, how much more direct do you want me to be? Shall I confess that all my actions have been based on this unquenchable desire for you? That I'm falling head over heels in love with you?
Jax: Are you?
Skye: I see what's going on here.
Jax: Well, then please enlighten me.
Skye: You're looking for an ego boost. You want me to say that you were the brass ring that I was trying to grab while I put myself on the merry-go-round from hell with my grandfather and Sonny.
Jax: Right, and?
Skye: Maybe I had other reasons. Maybe I just wanted your power to make me CEO of ELQ.
Jax: Oh.
Skye: Or maybe I just hated Sonny's guts and you were the best and fastest way to bring him down.
Jax: Right.
Skye: Or how about this? Maybe I was bored. Maybe I wanted to play the frightened female just to get a kick out of watching you charge in with your banners flying to save me from that nasty, mean mobster.
Jax: Several times.
Skye: As I recall, you washed your hands of me several times. And yet, you keep coming back for more. What's that all about? A rescue complex? Or are you the one with feelings for me? Well?
Jax: You know, you're a real piece of work.
Skye: Is that your answer?
Jax: It's an observation. You're a liar, Skye, and a schemer.
Skye: I didn't make all of it up, you know. Sonny is at war with my brother.
Jax: Yes, all the more reason not to throw accelerants into the fire.
Skye: I thought ridding the world of Sonny Corinthos was something that you and I had in common.
Jax: Well, your approach leaves a lot to be desired. You get in the way.
Skye: Well, I don't have the luxury of having all the time in the world. My brother has his own methods and it's going to put him at the bottom of the river.
Jax: Why? What's AJ doing?
Skye: You know, the way he gets in Sonny's face.
Jax: That's not a method.
Skye: Well, it is in AJ's mind.
Jax: You know, what was I thinking? I should've realized I can't get a straight answer out of you about anything, so I should, you know what? I'll just stop asking.
[Jax leaves]
