[Skye is startled to see Jax and drops her weights]
Skye: Hello.
Jax: You ok?
Skye: Well, I've been better and certainly worse. By the way, I've given up on trying to be a better person. You know, the last two times it almost got me and AJ killed.
Jax: Is that supposed to make me ask you what happened?
Skye: No, but the last incident did make me realize that I'd rather live my life as a lesser person, a longer life, mind you, but not as a corpse with a merit badge.
Jax: Ok, what happened?
Skye: It's not your problem.
Jax: Look, don't cut your nose off to spite your face, ok?
Skye: The way things are going, someone else can do it for me.
Jax: Who?
Skye: Who else?
Jax: Oh.
[Skye explains everything]
Skye: Then Sonny's goons dragged AJ out of the car, and Courtney's standing there yelling at them to stop, and Sonny's just standing there with that glib look on his face. You know, I really think, I really think that AJ and I would have been fish food tonight if it hadn't been for that phone call I got off to the police. But, hey, you know, none of this is your problem.
Jax: No, you listen. If Sonny causes you any more trouble, I want to know about it.
Skye: This is not your battle, all right? I can deal with it.
Jax: Like you have so far? Come on, Skye, you're in over your head.
Skye: Jax, you know, if this the prelude to another chivalrous rescue, you can forget about it. I can protect myself.
Jax: How?
Skye: Well, for starters, that self-defense class I signed up for this morning to get out my aggression is looking better and better.
Jax: Come on, Skye.
Skye: Hey, I put you on the floor once, didn't I?
[Skye storms away]
Jax: Yeah.
