Edward: Oh, Jax. Come in.
Jax: Where's Skye's desk?
Edward: Well, it's been removed from my office. Permanently.
Jax: Skye know about this?
Edward: No, not yet. And, I must confess, I am, I am savoring the anticipation. You see, Skye dismissed me as a paper tiger, and I have a real surprise in store for her.
Jax: Well, this is unacceptable.
Edward: Aw. I'm sorry you feel that way.
Jax: Hurting Skye is something I take personally. So if you think you can get away with this treachery, Edward, you've greatly underestimated me.

Jax: Well, you made a serious mistake.
Edward: No, Jax, my mistake was accommodating Skye on any level.
Jax: Well, you'd do well to accommodate me. Skye is co-CEO of this company.
Edward: But you see, she has been outmaneuvered. She's gone, Jax, just a distant, unpleasant memory. And good riddance, too. I finally removed her, which I should have done months ago.
Jax: Read the corporate bylaws, Edward. You don't have the authority to take over this company.
Edward: Oh, I'm surprised at you, Jax. You haven't been paying attention. Now, while you have been wallowing in romantic claptrap with Skye, I've been busy removing every trace of Skye so that I am now the sole CEO of ELQ. And if you'll excuse me, I have some work that I need to get out this morning.
Jax: We had an agreement, remember?
Edward: Yes, based on your expectation that you still had leverage, and you don't.
Jax: You're delusional, Edward. Senility has finally taken its toll.
Woman: Show some respect. How dare you speak to maestro that way!
Jax: "Maestro"? Who might this be?
Woman: You are here without an appointment. I'll ask the questions. Who are you?
Edward: Jasper Jacks, allow me to present Petra, my new executive assistant. She's extremely devoted.
Jax: It's a pleasure. Let me ask you this, Edward. Is she devoted enough to visit you in prison? Because that's where you're headed.
Petra: If you're working late, you'll need a proper meal. For strength, right?
Edward: Oh, that's not necessary, my dear. Don't trouble yourself.
Petra: Nonsense. It's no trouble. I'll be back before you miss me.
Edward: Oh, that would be impossible.
Jax: All right, fine. You want to play hardball? All bets are off. I agreed to keep my mouth shut about your little insider trading.
Edward: Yes, in exchange for my dropping the extortion charges against Skye and AJ, which I did. The deal is done.
Jax: Oh, I see. So transaction completed, terms and conditions no longer apply? Well, I guess that means I'm free to tell the authorities everything I know. This is how I see it, you have three choices, Edward. One, you reinstate Skye immediately, preferably before she gets back.
Edward: No, that's absolutely out of the question.
Jax: Number two, you face a lengthy prison sentence, forfeiture of your accounts, and major fines.
Edward: I will not be intimi...
Jax: Or number three, you find yourself a developed country without extradition and make a run for it.
Lila: I'm afraid running is out of the question. Edward, I'd like to have a moment with Mr. Jacks, alone.
Lila: I thought Edward would be better off sharing ELQ with Skye. I was mistaken.
Jax: So without ELQ to control, Edward turned his aggression on your family, especially AJ and Courtney.
Lila: Yes.
Jax: So you gave him your proxy to focus his energies elsewhere. That was a generous thought, Lila. It's probably good for the rest of your family, but you didn't consider Skye.
Lila: I love Skye very much, but she has you now.
Jax: I'll do whatever it takes to protect Skye's interests.
Lila: And I'll continue to support my husband.
Jax: Edward doesn't deserve you, Lila.
Lila: Oh, he's a scoundrel, I know. But then so are you, Mr. Jacks.
Jax: Mrs. Quartermaine.
[He kisses her hand]
Edward: Get your lips off my wife.
Jax: You know, I don't know why this remarkable woman puts up with you, Edward.
Edward: Because she is my wife and she made a promise to God that she would stick by me no matter what, hmm? So thank you, my dear, for making the situation clear to this reprobate from a land which began as a penal colony.
Jax: You know, you should probably visit, Edward.
Edward: I'll take it from here, dear.
Lila: Don't provoke him, dear. You'll regret it if you do.
Edward: Hmph!
Lila: Reginald?
Reginald: Hmm? She saved your butt again, huh? Bye.
Edward: See you later, dear.
Jax: Bye.
Lila: Bye.
Jax: I adore your wife. I always have. But that's not going to stop me from removing you from ELQ.
Edward: Oh? Do your worst.
Jax: You know, I wonder if you truly understand the gravity of your situation.
Edward: Oh, you underestimate me, Mr. Jacks. These months, when you have been dallying with Skye, you know, distracting yourself, losing your edge, I have been covering all my tracks, rendering your so-called evidence against me obsolete.
Jax: You know, Edward, you could have spent your waning years in peace. But you've brought the walls crumbling down on your head.
Edward: I'm not waning. I'm just getting started.
Jax: No, Edward. I'm about to stop you cold. Have a nice night.
[Jax leaves]
Edward: I will grind you into dust, you lightweight. You're no match for me. No one is.

Jax: Drs. Quartermaine.
Monica: Oh. Hello, Jax.
Jax: I apologize for barging in on you at work, but since this directly affects you and your family, I thought you'd want to know as soon as possible.
Monica: What's Skye done now?
Alan: Why must you assume that Skye is at fault?
Monica: When is Skye not at fault?
Jax: Skye's had her job and her company stolen out from under her by Edward.
Alan: Father kicked Skye out of ELQ?
Jax: You either seem genuinely surprised or you do a good job at covering. Either way, you should be concerned. Edward is provoking me and I have every intention of retaliating.
Alan: Retaliating? How?
Jax: Well, dismantling ELQ springs to mind. Raiding your subsidiaries, devaluating your stock, you know, the sort of stuff that I do best. The Quartermaines could experience a complete reversal of fortune, unless you get Edward under control. Look, I have the highest regard for your family, Lila in particular, but if Edward doesn't give up his claim to ELQ, then I'll decimate the Quartermaine fortune. I truly hope it doesn't come to that.
