Skye & Jax - Picturesque
Skye has to move out...

January 18, 2002

Alan: All right, Skye. Skye, Skye! That's enough. I don't want you upsetting my mother. I want you out of the hospital. I want you out of the house!

Skye: Fine. Don't believe me, but I'll be packed and gone before you get home.

--------------------------------------

Jax: Look, it's important that Skye gets this.

Ned: I already told you she's not here.

Jax: Are you still upset about what happened at the gym?

Ned: What?

Jax: Are you irritated because I said that Kristina was Alexis without the baggage and that might be the reason why you're interested in her?

Ned: No, no, I'm not even thinking about that. Look, I came in here a few minutes before you got here. The house is empty, ok? Even the help's gone. There's no message on my voice mail. I called Monica, she didn't answer. Alan has nothing in his day planner. It's weird. This place feels like Pompeii, deserted and much too quiet.

Jax: Was the door locked when you arrived?

Ned: Yes, surgical floor nurses' station, please. Calling Skye?

Jax: Yeah.

[Phone rings]

Jax: Hey, that's me.

Ned: Where is everyone?

Skye: Grandfather had a heart attack.

Ned: When? How is he?

Skye: He's in serious but stable condition. Alan, Monica, and Grandmother are with him now at the hospital.

Ned: Well, I can see you're really torn up about it. So help me, if I find out you had anything to do with this... Sally, have you been here the whole time?

Sally: No, no, I went to the church to pray, but has there been any word?

Ned: I don't know anything.

Sally: Can I get you anything?

Jax: No, I think we're ok.

Sally: All right, then I'll make some coffee.

Jax: That was a lousy thing for Ned to say. I mean, the fact that Edward had a heart attack isn't your fault.

Skye: Yes, it was.

Jax: Why would you think that Edward's heart attack was your fault?

Skye: Were you here to see Ned or me?

Jax: Allied-London's response to your proposal. They estimate the equipment cost at 120 million.

Skye: Let's see. Ok, that's salvage, that would be 35.

Jax: Look, if Edward's heart attack, you know, if ELQ contributed to that, then he should've given up the reins a long time ago. So where will you be staying tonight?

Skye: The hotel, and not just for the night. I'm here to pack. I will make sure that I get these to you right away.

011802skyeandjax05.jpg

Jax: Just forget about that for now, ok? Tell me what happened.

Skye: Before Edward had his heart attack, I was... Look, I'm on a bit of a time restraint here, ok? I have been ordered to vacate the premises before anyone gets back, and if Grandfather doesn't make it, well, then it's even more important that I not be here, so I will speak to you later.

Jax: Skye, wait.

Sally: Mr. Corinthos, please, if you would just wait a moment. Please, please, Mr. Corinthos!

Sonny: Where's your brother?

Sally: I'm sorry.

Jax: That's all right.

Skye: Get the hell out of here.

Sonny: Tell me where your brother is. This doesn't concern you, big boy.

Jax: It does now. The lady asked you to leave.

Skye: I don't need you standing up to this thug for me, Jax.

Sonny: I'll leave as soon as you tell me where to find AJ.

Skye: I wouldn't give you the time of day, much less any information about my brother. But I can see he's got you good and riled up, so whatever it is that he's doing, it's having the desired effect.

Sonny: Well, you know what he's doing.

Jax: Back the hell off, Sonny!

Sonny: Where is he?!

Jax: She told you she doesn't know.

[Phone rings]

Sonny: Yeah. She all right? All right, I'll be right there.

Skye: This day just keeps getting better and better. Sonny Corinthos is just the icing on the cake. Look, I'd show you to the door, but I'd probably trip on my way there.

Jax: Would you stop running away?

Skye: I'm not. I'm here to pack, as ordered. But I will get these to you first thing tomorrow.

Jax: You know, you can drop this act.

Skye: It's no act, really. I've had a red-letter day. I love this day. First, I catch Nurse Bedford kissing my grandfather good-bye outside his hotel room and, when I call him on it, we proceed to have a knockdown-dragout fight, at which point I come home, only to be told to pack and leave by my father, which happened before they got the phone call about my grandfather's heart attack, which occurred after I said all those nasty things to him. I then go to the hospital to try to go to see him and I'm told that I can't go into his room and, basically, I should just stay out of the family's sight. And now Sonny Corinthos is after my brother? I mean, does it get any better?

Jax: Skye.

Skye: No, don't. Just, just leave, ok? I am not going to cry. I am not.

Skye's Memory:

Alan: I have tried my very best to make up for all the years that we lost together. I have tried to be a really good father to you and reached out to you. But despite my very best efforts, I don't know you at all.

Skye: And you don't want to? Is that what you're saying?

Alan: You aren't listening to me.

Monica: No, that's not what he is saying. He's trying to explain...

Skye: Well, congratulations, Monica. You finally managed to cut me out. Edward will be so pleased.

Skye: Leave me alone. Please.

Jax: Look, I know that you don't want anyone to see you emotional. It's ok to reach out to someone, Skye.
